I think what Jill is saying is that being that the Bear Grylls knives are built in China to begin with, a fake BG wouldn't be of lower quality materials/construction than a real one, but that there is also no real reason for someone in China to make fakes of a Chinese knife. 727 Oct 18, 2010. #3. Helle Yes they are good I had one and I should have never gotten rid of it. It was a helle eggen. This was easily the sharpest knife I had ever received from a factory. This is what let me to starp sharpening my own knives because I never new a knife coudl be so sharp.
Ithas a very versatile sheath with multiple carry options. The steel is 420hc which isn't a wonder steel by any means but holds a good edge, isn't terribly hard to sharpen and is quite tough. A plus to me is it is made in the US. I don't believe the the Bear Grylls knife is as tough and I also do not like the BG all over it.
